We have tailored our services to meet the unique needs of tortoises, all within a bio-secure environment crucial for any reptile boarding facility. Understanding that tortoises thrive outdoors, mirroring their natural habitat, we've designed spacious outdoor enclosures for their stays. These enclosures feature warm, dry, and damp-free shelters, alongside access to areas where they can freely explore, climb, bask, and graze. Although not all tortoise owners witness their pets drinking water, we ensure every tortoise has access to fresh water daily for drinking or bathing at their leisure. You might be amused by the variety of activities your tortoise engages in while staying with us, we have every aspect covered.
For those colder days when outdoor conditions are less than ideal, we offer a spacious indoor luxury hotel for your tortoise. While our outdoor facility is equipped with the latest in autumnal coverage to maintain a warmer environment and allow the natural uva/b to reach their basking bodies, we ensure that during particularly cold spells, our indoor hotel provides a cozy and warm retreat for them.
What we offer - Specialist Boarding and Hibernation Services
Every tortoise in our care receives a clean, secure, and species-appropriate environment — indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather and their individual needs.
We offer both short-term stays (perfect if you’re going on holiday) and full hibernation support, including safe brumation conditions and a carefully managed wake-up.
We also offer long-term boarding, ideal if you’re moving house, renovating, or need time to get things in order. You can rest easy knowing your tortoise is in the experienced hands of our team while you focus on getting your new home ready.
Our enclosures are biosecure, and we follow rigorous hygiene procedures at all times. We never mix tortoises from different households, and we also never mix different species, even if they come from the same home. Their health and safety always come first — and everything else follows from that.
Whether your tortoise is staying for a few days or a few months, they’ll be cared for with expertise, attention, and kindness.

We don’t just board tortoises — we truly understand them.
With over three decades of experience, we’ve looked after hundreds of tortoises from across the UK — from as far north as Scotland to regular visitors from London.
We also offer a complimentary collection service from Maidenhead train station, which is located on the mainline and is served by the Elizabeth Line. If you’re coming by train, we’re happy to meet you and collect your tortoise to make drop-off easier and less stressful — it’s all part of the service.
